Hidden Magic: Self Love
Witch Crafts and Tarot for March 2025
I’ve been thinking a lot about self love lately. Namely, about the ways loving ourselves expands out to our family, friends, local community, and world.
Self love is foundational for our ability to serve our communities in healthy ways, to bring our particular talents and skills to the world, and to push for a better tomorrow. If you’d like to learn more about using self love to create change in the world, I highly recommend The Altar Within by Juliet Diaz. It has been foundational to my own self-love transformation.
If you aren’t already subscribed to Kelly-Ann Maddox on YouTube, I recommend her channel. She talks about tarot, witchcraft, creativity, and more. She does Self-Love September every year and it’s delicious!
I’ve created a self-love playlist on my Hidden Magic Studio YouTube channel where I’ve collected some of my favorite self-love videos.

Inner Artist Reading
What is an Inner Artist?
Do you have to be an artist to use this reading? Nope! Every single one of us has an Inner Artist. Simply put, it’s the creative part inside of us.
This reading is about all the ways you’re a creative person. (And don’t you dare say you’re not creative! I won’t have it!) Creativity shows up in our lives outside of making arts & crafts. You might be creative in the way you teach, creative in the way you lead, creative in the way you decorate your home.
I do a weekly Inner Artist reading for myself. I share that reading on TikTok, YouTube, and Bluesky. But, I thought I’d try something special for the newsletter subscribers! This is a more detailed, monthly reading to help your Inner Artist stay creative this month.

Page of Swords from Curious Travels Tarot
How can your Inner Artist be creative in March 2025?
For this month, I pulled the Page of Swords. This month, embrace a beginner’s mindset. Let go of your expectations about how advanced, how expert, how perfect your creations should be.
“Advanced”, “expert”, and “perfect” make my Inner Artist freeze up. These expectations stop creativity in its tracks.
Let your Inner Artist explore and play. That’s a deep well of creativity you can draw upon!
Journal Prompts:
Use these journal prompts to dive deep into this reading. If you read tarot, you can also ask your cards these questions!
What is stopping me from letting my Inner Artist play?
How can my Inner Artist play? How can they embrace a beginner’s mindset?
What expectations am I putting on my creations that stop me from expressing myself fully?
If I approached my creative work as a beginner, what would change?
What risks am I afraid of taking? What would my creative projects look like (or feel like) if I took those risks?
Words of Power:
Play is creative life.
I allow my creativity to flow.
I take risks because I know I can handle the outcome.
Witchy Rituals:
Visualize your Inner Artist at play. (If you like working with crystals, hold orange calcite while you do your visualization.)
Write down all the things you expect yourself to be good at creatively. Draw, paint, or collage to completely cover the words on that list. Use wild, chaotic shapes and lines. Visualize creative play being stronger than creative expectations.
Tarot Thoughts and Spreads
My personal self-love journey has been greatly supported by tarot. I use it to get new perspectives, to build better boundaries, to give myself grace, and to look for ways to love myself.
I’m sharing a printable Self-Love Spreads mini zine as a freebie this month. I truly hope the ideas and spreads in this zine inspire you to use tarot in your own self-love practice. (Scroll down to find a link to download the zine.)
Witch Crafting
I published a Self-Love Spell to YouTube where I show you how to use neurographic art as a spell. You don’t have to be a good artist to use art in your craft!
For newsletter subscribers, I wrote up a guide to go along with the Self-Love Spell. (It’s in the Monthly Freebies section below). This guide will help you prepare for your spell by identifying your correspondences, words of power, and other tools you’d like to bring into the spell.
Monthly Freebies
Subscribers get access to monthly freebies and this month’s are all about self love!
For a witchy freebie, I wrote up a Self-Love Spell Worksheet to help you do the art witch self-love spell.
For a tarot freebie, I’m sharing another mini-zine with you this month: Self-Love Spreads. If you don’t read tarot, the prompts and spreads in the zine work great as journal prompts!
This link will take you to a Google Drive folder (look for the March 2025 folder) where you will find:
