My creativity is coming back after the Tower moment Minnesota experienced this winter. My Inner Artist has led the way with so many things in my life: my tarot practice and teaching, witch crafting, life decisions, and so much more.

My creative self is truly my most powerful self, and I’m so glad she’s back!

More details about my tarot and witch crafting adventures below.

Inner Artist Reading

What is an Inner Artist?

Every single one of us has an Inner Artist. It’s the creative part inside us all. Creativity shows up in our lives outside of making arts & crafts. You might be creative in the way you teach, in the way you lead, in the way you decorate your home, etc.

How can your Inner Artist be creative this month?

For this month’s reading, I pulled The World. My keyword for this card is, "expansion.” The World represents finishing a cycle. Stop to enjoy the work and growth that’s gone into getting you to this point.

And then get ready to expand. What cycle is coming next? What cycle can you kick-start? How can you embrace The Fool to step into something new?

To be more creative, consider whether you are stuck somewhere. Is there something you’re holding onto that prevents you from expanding? Could you either complete it or let it go so you can take the first step into the next creative phase?

Journal Prompts:

Use these journal prompts to dive deep into this reading. If you read tarot, you can also ask your cards these questions:

  • What can I finish (or let go) so that I can step into a new phase?

  • How has my creativity grown and changed over time?

  • What is my first step into the new phase?

Tarot Thoughts and Spreads

Much of my tarot energy this past month has gone into creating YouTube videos. I’m enjoying the longer form where I can share more of my approach. And I’ve really enjoyed sharing my deck collection. Come find me on YouTube! I’ve got lots of videos planned.

Instead of a spread this month, I’d like to share one of my favorite questions to ask the cards. I use this when I need advice. I turn to the majors and courts as though they are a group of friends.

Depending on the advice I need, I choose a card to ask for advice from. For example:

  • When I am reluctant to put down a necessary boundary, I ask, “What message does the Queen of Swords have for me?”

  • When I need perspective, I ask, “What can The Hanged Man tell me about this?”

  • When I feel stuck, I ask, “What would The Fool do in this situation?”

  • When I have a busy day with a long to-do list, I ask, “What does The Emperor want me to know?”

Give it a try! I hope you get great readings from it - I always do.

Card of the Year Videos

Part of my process when prepping for a new year is to pull all the versions of that card out of each of my decks. I look for new perspectives on the card and let the imagery push my understanding.

I made exclusive videos of each card in the major arcana to help you with your study. I just published the last of those videos. Find them in the Card of the Year exclusive videos playlist on YouTube.

You might want to subscribe to the Card of the Year newsletter. I only send it when I have something new to share.

Witch Crafting

I find lately that I enjoy working on my witch crafts, but haven’t been sharing them online. My practice and creative work feels more personal. So, though I’ve been less active on TikTok and YouTube, I’m happy to say my creativity still burns brightly.

I’ve spent most of my time working on pin charms/wearable altars like these:

These are a great witch craft. Here’s my tutorial for pin charms in case you’d like to make your own.
